A new web site, rflearns.org, has been created.  The mission of the web site is as stated on the site:
“Welcome to the River Falls Community Education Collaborative web site. This site will provide a single place where River Falls residents can learn about life-long learning, leisure, recreation, personal and professional activities in our community.

Everyone is a learner and a resource in this collaborative effort.”

The club can post events for a $10.00 per year fee.  The club members were asked by Kim Kiiskinen is the club should join.  After very little discussion, a motion was made to join rflearns.org by Susan Reese.  Susan Gnatzig seconded and the motion passed.  Kim K will be responsible for posting club events.

Betty S San Francisco Farmer’s Market Trip

As part of a grant, Betty S went to San Francisco, CA to study farmer’s market management.  Betty saw many different farmer’s markets and learned about what works and does not work in a farmer’s market.  Betty gave highlights of her trip to the club.  She noted that in comparison to the San Francisco markets, the River Falls farmer’s market would compete as a great market.  Betty must help disseminate information to other Wisconsin farmer’s markets to help improve farmer’s markets in the state.

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting.  The motion was seconded and passed.
