Minutes from the February 2, 2009 Meeting

President Betty S called the meeting to order at 7:05pm.  As there were no additions or corrections to the minutes as printed in newsletter, a motion was made by Susan R to accept the minutes, seconded by Jo F.  The motion passed.

Susan R discussed progress on the American in Bloom project for River Falls.  The color theme is red, white and blue.

Caroline B told the group about Garden U in Hudson from 9-3 on March 21 and highlighted the list of speakers.

Kim K told the group about two free horticulture events at the River Falls Public Library on February 11 and 18.

Susan R mentioned that UWRF called her to inquire if RFGC is still sponsoring two horticulture scholarships.  RFGC does provide two horticulture scholarships to UWRF students.

The tentative date of the plant sale is still Saturday, May 9 at the Armory.  RFGC is waiting for confirmation from the US Army.

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by Susan R, seconded by Deb B.  The meeting was adjourned.
