Minutes from the April 2009 Meeting

President Betty S called the meeting to order at 7:00pm.

A motion was made to accept the March minutes as printed in the newsletter by Susan G, seconded by Mary Js, the motion passed.

Plant Sale – Saturday, May 9

The volunteer sign-up sheet was passed around for plant sale duties.

The Amory does not have as many tables available as in past years.  The club needs to find tables.  Ron Zirbel suggested the Journal as a source for tables.

Posters for the plant sale will be available for distribution from Kim at the library.

Kim also has a small amount of pots and the plant sale tags and sticks.  The sale tags are also on the club web site at: http://www.mannfarm.net/gardenclub/saleinfo.htm

Please save short boxes for the sale and bring a wagon or cart.

Ron Z will make extra wooden signs.

America in Bloom

The America in Bloom judges will be in River Falls on Wednesday, June 24 and Thursday, June 25.  Please have your public and private gardens looks their best.  Help keep the city looking neat and tidy.  Funds are being raised to over the cost of the community portfolio.  Any amount of contribution is welcomed.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Susan R, seconded by Jo L.  Motion passed.
