Minutes from the November 3 Meeting

President Betty S called the meeting to order at 7:20pm. As there were no additions or corrections to the minutes as printed in the October newsletter, Ursula P made a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Mae W. Motion passed.

Treasurer Mae W discussed the 2009 budget. Please give any budget ideas to Mae. Budget items considered:
Susan R - Veteran's Memorial project. An independent committee which needs funds to create a garden at the memorial. Perhaps the club could give funds to establish a garden?
Susan G - Second Street gardens.
Downtown gardens
Native plantings along the Kinnickinnic.
America in Bloom
Library books for 2008 still need to be purchased.

Club members were urged to start thinking about garden tour ideas for next year. Possible ideas were the gardens of Susan G, Michelle Bl and/or Margaret S.

Susan R and Nancy A discussed the Veteran's Memorial Project at Greenwood Cemetery.
