Minutes from December 3, 2007 Meeting

President Susan R called the meeting to order at 7:05pm. This is Susan's last meeting as president. Betty S will be president in 2008.

Susan asked for suggestions and ideas for 2008 programs. One idea was to match up programs with Art in Bloom.

Increasing publicity and membership for the club was discussed. Susan has been working to increase publicity about the River Falls Garden Club. The club could print the yearly schedule on bookmarks or postcards and leave the materials where gardeners will find them - nurseries, the library, etc. The materials should be on brightly colored paper to catch people's eyes.

There was not a Treasurer's Report. The need to periodically audit the Treasurer's Report was discussed. A duplicate copy of RFGC records should be kept with Kim at the library. Mae and Kim will coordinate a system of keeping RFGC records.

Susan R passed out information about America in Bloom. The City of River Falls is entering in 2009.

One way for RFCG to promote participation in America in Bloom is to have a "Front Yard Gardens" contest within the city of River Falls
