Minutes from the October 2, 2006 Meeting
President Susan R called the meeting to order at 7:05pm.
As there were no additions or corrections to the September minutes as printed in the October newsletter, Michelle B made a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Susan G. The motion passed.
Treasurer's Report
As Treasurer Mae W was unable to attend the meeting, the report was
read by Kim K.
Total net worth (exclusive of $4,203.42 CD) as of today is $5,041.87.
This consists of the following accounts:
| Checking Account - $ 96.90 | |
| Savings Account - $ 4,918.98 | |
| Petty Cash - $ 10.00 | |
| Stamps - $ 15.99 |
Activity since the last report on Sept. 11 was as follows: Net increase of $47:
Income of $5:
| Interest - $5 (Interest on Savings) | |
| Memberships - $ 0 (No memberships since Sept. 11) |
Expenses of <$42>:
| Print & Copy Costs - $ 19 (Oct'06 newsletter) production | |
| Postage $ 14 (Oct'06 newsletter postage) | |
| Speaker Fees reversal - < $ 75 > (Sept speaker cancellation) |
Compared to Last Year:
Income higher by $249 due to better plant sale revenue. Expenses lower by $500
due primarily to less spending so far on community plant beds. Plant sale costs
lower by $261 but that was offset by higher speaker fees of $150 (vs. zero for
2005).
Compared to Budget:
Income over by $1,285 ($30 due to more memberships, and $1,270 due to plant
sale). Expenses under budget by $1,106. Of this amount, $800 for scholarships
not yet funded, $500 for community plant beds, $118 for tree maintenance, and
$150 on lower plant sale costs. We are over by $487 on the plant split, but that
was more than offset by the correspondingly higher sales.
