Minutes from September 12, 2005 Meeting

President Susan Reese called the meeting to order at 7:07pm.

A motion to approve the minutes of the July meeting were approved as printed in the September newsletter was made by Jamie H, seconded by Anne K. Motion passed.

Before discussing old and new business, President Susan R thanked Kim K and Mae W for their efforts in producing an excellent newsletter.

Old Business

Plant Sale
President Susan R reflected on the plant sale. Susan asked that members refer to the September newsletter June meeting minutes and the June 13 Executive Board meeting minutes as to problems/procedures with the plant sale.

Susan urged members to contribute more unusual plants to the plant sale next year.

Refreshments List
Susan R noted that a second volunteer is still need for the October and November meetings.

Soil Tests
Susan announced that soil test bags with directions are still available. Talk to Susan for more information.

Extra Hand-Outs
After the Pierce County Fair, Susan R has left-over horticulture hand-outs with great information. Help yourself to the hand-outs.

Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden
Susan R reported that the field trip to the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden was great. Club members had a wonderful tour of the upland prairie summer wildflowers.
