Minutes from May 7, 2001 Meeting

Pres. M.S. called the meeting to order.  A motion was made by T.O., seconded by M.E. to approve the April minutes.  M.W. gave the treasurer's report with $2084.48 in savings and checking, $3521.28 in the CD.  Seven new members joined the club.  A motion was made by J.J., seconded by R.R., to approve the treasurer's report.

N.G. reviewed the plant sale needs and passed a sign up sheet around.  M.S. reported that UW-RF will still have plants available despite the hail storm.

A.K. reviewed the watercolor poster contest and art show which will be held in the library during June.  She asked for volunteers to arrange flowers in the pottery at the show with arrangements to be done on Sunday, June 3 at 2pm.

Volunteering to help are N.M., N.S., N.S., B.S., J.M., M.R., M.E., and M.S.

New Business: Member and Master Gardener K.K. volunteered to take care of the library gardens.  N.G. will care for the herb garden at Heritage Park.  M.S. reported that Dr. Terry Ferriss and her horticulture class pruned the trees and shrubs at the library as well as cutting back the perennials in the garden beds.

M.W. made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  M.A.M. seconded.  Motion passed.
