Minutes of June 4, 2001 Meeting
by Vicky Sullivan

The meeting was called to order by M. S.  T. O. made a motion, seconded by N. S., to approve the May 2001 meeting minutes.  Treasurer M. W. reported the plant sale results.  1930 plants were sold at the May 2001 plant sale (1417 were sold in 2001).  The plant sale grossed $3552.25 with an estimated net of about $1500.  Expenses included $66 for car wash tokens given in appreciation to the WellHaven residents who moved their cars for the sale.  Members are asked to save their white tags from the sale for next year's sale.

N.G. thanked everyone for their work on the sale and reviewed what worked well and what would work better.  L.N. agreed to store extra pots for next year's sale, so if members have extra pots they can give them to L.

K. K. will continue to work on updating the web page during the summer.

M.S. suggested that members bring cut flowers from their gardens to WellHaven during the summer months to show our appreciation for the use of their facility.  A.K. agreed to periodically bring flowers.  Other members are encouraged to bring them as well.

M.S. reviewed a phone call she had received from K.J. about the possibility of creating an education box for the library for use by area teachers (elementary).  The box would have the theme of gardening.  Club members thought the box was a good idea.  A motion to adjourn the meetings was made by N.S., seconded by L.N.
